‘My freedom, my traffic … my bike!’ This spring, on behalf of the province of Flemish-Brabant, the municipality of Dilbeek and the Brussels-Capital Region, OMGEVING, together with Mint and Mouton, started researching the bike highway routes F2 and F209 from Denderleeuw to Brussels. The assignment involves the preparation of a startingmemorandum for both trajectories and a project memorandum for the F2 between Sint-Martens-Bodegem and Jette.

An official presentation of the project took place during the press release of Tuesday, October 24, 2017,.’In a couple of years, the two bike highways between Denderleeuw and Brussels must provide a solution for the mobility junction around the capital,’ said Flemish Minister for Mobility Ben Weyts. Together with the Antwerp bypass, the bypass around Brussels is responsible for 52% of the traffic jams in Belgium.
