OMGEVING selected to design the eastern part of the Brussels ring road

OMGEVING, as partner of the joint venture THV Zoniën Mobiel, has been selected for the redevelopment of Brussels eastern ring road (R0). OMGEVING and MINT already worked together on the overall vision for R0 in 2005. The joint venture Zoniën Mobiel has now been selected to further translate this vision on behalf of the Flemish Government (Werkvennootschap).

In the coming years, THV Zoniën Mobiel will work on the design of four major traffic nodes along R0 and A4 / E411. It comprises Vierarmentunnel – and intersection (R0 x N3), Leonard tunnels – and intersection (R0 x A4 / E411), Groenendaaltunnel – and intersection (R0 x N275) and finally Complex Brabandtlaan (A4 / E411 x N4).

In the joint venture THV Zoniën Mobiel, four design and engineering firms are joining their forces: OMGEVING is responsible for the vision and design, SBE provides the civil engineering component, Ney & Partners offers expertise for the infrastructure and architecture and D + A Consult takes up the project management and the technical details. The team is further strengthened by the mobility expertise of MINT and the ecological advice of Hesselteer.
