Since the end of 2017, OMGEVING has been working on the design study for the revaluation of the fortification ring and western transformation area of the Czech city Klatovy, in collaboration with local partner třiarchitekti.
The almost completely preserved historic city wall will be restored to its former glory. The dominance of parking lots will be replaced by a continuous green structure, interlaced with pedestrian paths and a generous cycle loop around the city. In the western transition area a spatial framework has been mapped out to steer the gradual transformation of this complex area in the right direction.
The first design ideas were presented to the population and were positively received by both the residents and the city council.
