Selected: feasibility study 3 cycle highways Brussels Capital Region

‘64 percent more cyclists in Brussels Region in 2020’, was the headline in the press at the beginning of this year and we are happy to help further facilitate this increasing bicycle traffic. The OMGEVING and MINT tandem has been selected by Beliris to investigate the feasibility of three bicycle highways in the Brussels Capital Region. Together with ABO and D+A we will investigate how to ensure a smooth passage for cyclists along railway lines L28, L36 and L50 through and in relation to the urban fabric. Our challenge will be to identify routes by balancing the goal of swift realisation, feasible cost and quality of design. Following up on the research project ‘Bicycle highways railway 50 and 50A’ for the province of Vlaams Brabant, OMGEVING is continuing to pursue sustainable mobility projects.
