OMGEVING and its partner Royal HaskoningDHV have been selected to prepare the feasibility study for Truong Giang River in Quang Nam province, central Vietnam. The study, initiated by the Dutch government’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, must provide answers to problems such as sedimentation, navigation and degradation by aquaculture as well as climate problems such as flooding. Through three cocreative workshops with the different stakeholders, the team will offer nature-based solutions for the formulated challenges. OMGEVING is co-facilitating the workshops and will be supporting hydraulic engineering partner Royal HaskoningDHV as the landscape expert.
With this study, OMGEVING is also underlining its focus on climate adaptation and cocreation projects in Vietnam. The study will start in February 2021 and will take five months to complete.
